“AVA is Kenya's first Tapestry Collection by Hilton — 91 rooms in Lavington designed around bold colour and Kenyan character, so the furniture had to carry a lot of personality while passing Hilton's brand and quality standards. We manufactured the guest-room casegoods, the oak-and-upholstered headboards and nightstands; the lobby-lounge programme with its orange-velvet and blue tub chairs and sofas; the high communal tables with the rust-tufted barstools; and the woven seating for the planted terrace. Delivering to a global brand's specification, in Nairobi, on a lifestyle-hotel timeline, is exactly the kind of project we are built for. I love how the colour reads against the timber grid dividers — it is confident, and it is durable.”
