A banquet table earns its keep differently from an ordinary dining table. It gets carried out by the dozen before a wedding, dressed and set in a few hours, cleared the same night, then folded flat and stacked into a back-of-house store until the next function. That weekly cycle — deploy, load, fold, stack, repeat — is the real test, and it is the reason a proper banquet table is engineered around its folding leg before anything else.
Most hotels and caterers run two families side by side. Round tops handle seated dinners and gala covers, which is why round banquet tables dominate ballroom stores. Rectangular tops do the heavier lifting: registration desks, conference rooms, and the long buffet runs that caterers rely on. The mechanism
Cheap folding tables fail at the hinge. The legs wobble after a season, the lock slips under a loaded top, and the whole table starts to rack. A commercial folding banquet table is designed so that none of that happens. Each leg is a circular iron profile, 28mm in diameter with a 1.2mm wall, folded by a steel ball-bearing leg lock that drops into place and holds the leg dead rigid once it is open. There is no flex when a guest leans on the edge and no creep when the top is fully set.
The detail that protects all of this is hidden underneath. A 1mm C frame runs below the top and shields the folding mechanism whenever tables are stacked on top of each other — so the locks and hinges never take the weight of the stack, only the frame does. Rubber bumpers under that frame keep the painted surfaces off the floor and off the table beneath, which is what stops the scuffing and chipping you normally see on banquet tables after a year of handling.
For an operations manager the payoff is simple. One person can open a folding banquet table without tools, the lock makes it safe to load immediately, and at the end of the night the tables fold flat and stack densely into a fraction of the floor space. That is the difference between a foldable banquet table that survives a decade of events and one that gets written off after two.
Construction
Every banquet table in the range is built to the same contract-grade specification. The numbers below apply to round, rectangular and curved tops alike.

18mm laminated MDF. A dense, flat, dimensionally stable core with a hard-wearing laminate face that wipes clean and resists the heat and moisture of food service. Flat enough that linen drapes correctly and a place setting sits level.
Edge protection
T-type impact-proof rubber, embedded into the sides of the top. The edge takes the knocks during transport and stacking, protecting both the laminate and the wall behind it. It is set into the board rather than glued on, so it does not peel away over time.
Cadre
28 × 1.2mm steel pipe profile. A welded structural frame carries the load to the legs and keeps the top rigid across its full span — important on the 180cm and 200cm rounds where a weak frame would let the centre sag.
Legs & lock
Circular iron profile, Ø28mm, 1.2mm wall, with a steel ball-bearing leg lock. The folding leg mechanism opens without tools and the ball-bearing lock holds it rigid under a full load.
Terminer
70-micron electrostatic paint on all metal parts. An even, durable coat that resists chips and corrosion through repeated handling. Frame colour is specified to match the rest of your banquet furniture.
Stacking
Stackable, with a protective 1mm C frame and rubber bumpers. Tables stack directly on top of each other; the C frame shields the leg mechanism and the bumpers protect the surfaces, so the stack stays tidy and damage-free in storage.
Table shapes
The tops come in five profiles. The round and rectangular tables do most of the work; the half round, quarter round and sliced tops are the pieces that let a venue build curved and continuous layouts from the same family.
Round
The classic banquet dining table for seated gala and wedding covers. Available 120, 140, 160, 180 and 200cm diameter.
Rectangle
Buffets, conference rooms and registration. The standard catering table for long, straight runs.
Half round
Two together make a full round, or one caps the end of a rectangular run for a rounded head table.
Quarter round
Turns a buffet run through 90°, or rounds the corners of a U-shape and hollow-square layout.
Sliced
Crescent and serpentine sections that join into flowing, curved buffet lines and feature displays.
Mixing the shapes is where the planning happens. Two half rounds make a single round table when you are short on a top; the same half round closes off a long boardroom run to seat one more guest at the head. Quarter rounds join straight sections at right angles so a buffet can wrap a corner without a gap, and a set of sliced tops turns a flat back wall into a sweeping, continuous display. A square banquet table footprint can also be built by pushing rectangular tops together for cabaret and small-group seating.
Sizes & seating
Round tops run 120, 140, 160, 180 and 200cm in diameter at a 76cm height; a 150cm (5ft / 60-inch) round is the most-requested size for eight covers, while the 180cm (6ft) round seats ten. En règle générale, prévoyez environ 60 cm de bord de table par invité pour un recouvrement confortable. Des sièges ronds de 120 cm peuvent accueillir 6 personnes, des sièges ronds de 140 cm 7 à 8 personnes, des sièges ronds de 150 cm (5 pieds) 8 à 10 personnes, des sièges ronds de 160 cm 8 à 10 personnes, des sièges ronds de 180 cm (6 pieds) 10 personnes et des sièges ronds de 200 cm jusqu’à 12 personnes. Rapprochez les sièges pour les événements à forte densité et ajoutez un ou deux couvre-sièges par table.
76 cm. Cette hauteur correspond à la hauteur du siège d’une chaise de banquet standard, laisse une marge de sécurité suffisante pour le plateau, et permet à un drap de longueur totale de se replier proprement au sol. Une table de banquet pliante commerciale utilise un cadre en acier soudé de 28 x 1,2 mm, une serrure de pied à roulement en acier qui fixe les pieds de manière rigide lorsqu’ils sont ouverts, et un cadre C qui protège le mécanisme lorsqu’il est empilé.
