Vue d'ensemble

Nous développons cela en lien avec le bien immobilier et sa marque. signe de famille defines a consistent language of shape, material, type and detail that scales from the smallest room number to the largest pylon. The wayfinding strategy maps the guest journey — arrival, reception, lifts, floors, rooms, and the public spaces — and places signs only where a decision is made, so the hotel is signed clearly without being cluttered. The specification fixes materials, fixings, illumination and the accessibility and safety requirements, and the sign schedule turns it all into a complete, costed list of every sign to be made and where it goes. For an operator or a designer, that schedule is the document that takes the guesswork and the gaps out of a signage package — and we then manufacture every line of it to one standard.
The Suite
A hotel's signage is a family of sign types, each doing a different job. Select one to see what it covers and how we make it.
The signs a guest touches most — room numbers, door plates, do-not-disturb and make-up-room indicators, and the small accessibility and information signs around the door. Made in materials that match the door and the interior, and built to take constant handling.
• Room number plates
• Door & apartment signs
• DND / make-up-room signs
• Tactile & braille numbers
The room number is the sign a hotel makes most and a guest touches most, and it carries more weight than its size suggests — it is the last brand detail a guest sees before their door, repeated on every floor, and a cheap or peeling one quietly undercuts everything spent on the room behind it. We make hotel room signs and door signage as a coordinated set, in materials and a style that match the door and the corridor, built to take years of handling.
The set runs from the room number plate itself — engraved, etched, cast or printed in brass, stainless steel, bronze, acrylic or timber to suit the scheme — through door signs and apartment or suite name plates, to the small functional signs around the door: do-not-disturb and make-up-room indicators, whether a classic hanger or a modern sliding or electronic plate, and the room information and accessibility signs. Where regulations or brand standards require it, numbers and key signs are made tactile and in braille so they are accessible to all guests. Because the room signage is designed as part of the whole suite, the number on the door speaks the same visual language as the wayfinding that led the guest to it — one family, from the lift to the lock.
Wayfinding is the signage that does the navigating, and it is where good design is most invisible — when it works, a guest never thinks about it, and when it does not, they are at the front desk asking where the restaurant is. Hotel wayfinding signs are less about individual signs than about a system: deciding what needs signing, where the decisions happen, and how to guide a guest from the entrance to any destination with the fewest, clearest signs.
We plan and make the full directional suite. Lobby and floor directories orient a guest on arrival and on each level; directional and arrow signs sit at the decision points — corridors, junctions, lift lobbies — pointing the way to rooms, restaurants, the spa, meeting floors and the exit; lift and stair signs et floor and level identifiers confirm where a guest is; and room-cluster and corridor signs break a long floor into legible runs. The strategy keeps signs only where they earn their place, so the hotel is clearly signed without being papered in arrows, and every directional sign is made in the same family as the room and public-area signs so the whole property reads as one coherent system. Clear wayfinding is one of the highest-return details in a hotel — it lifts the guest experience and lightens the load on the front desk at the same time.
Between the rooms and the wayfinding sits the everyday signage that names and runs the hotel's shared spaces. These are the signs guests read without noticing — the name over the restaurant, the symbol on the washroom, the plate on the meeting room — and the signs that keep the building safe and compliant. Unglamorous, constant, and essential to a hotel that works.
Facility and room-name signs identify the restaurant, bar, spa, pool, gym, business centre and meeting and event rooms, in the same material family as the rest of the suite. Washroom and amenity signs mark the public conveniences clearly and to brand. Reception, concierge and back-of-house signage names the operational spaces, and staff-only and service signage keeps the working areas ordered. And the fire, exit, emergency and safety signage that every public building requires is made to the relevant standards and, where possible, designed to sit within the hotel's visual language rather than clash with it — legible and compliant without breaking the look of a carefully designed space. Together these are the signs that make a hotel legible at every turn.
Some signs need to light up or to change, and that is a category of its own. Hotel digital signage — display screens in the lobby, on meeting floors and at event spaces — carries information that updates: welcome messages, event and meeting-room boards, promotions and directions that change through the day. Illuminated and LED signs — backlit logos, lightboxes and channel-letter brand marks — give a hotel presence and a brand mark that holds after dark, on the reception wall and at the entrance.
We supply and integrate both as part of the signage suite. Digital displays are specified and housed in joinery and surrounds that match the interior, so a screen reads as a designed element rather than a television bolted to a wall, with the content management to suit the operation. Backlit and edge-lit signs, lightboxes and illuminated channel letters are built with even, quality LED illumination and finished to the brand, for reception walls, lounge and bar names and feature signage. Because these are designed alongside the printed and engraved signage, the lit signs share the same type and brand language as the rest of the suite — the digital and the static reading as one system rather than two. Kept to signage, this illuminated work sits distinct from in-room and architectural lighting, which is a separate discipline.
The first sign a guest sees is the one that makes the first impression, and the last impression on the way out — the exterior signage that announces the hotel from the road and marks the entrance. It also lives the hardest life of any sign in the property, out in the weather and the sun, lit at night, expected to look as sharp in five years as on opening day, so it is engineered as much as designed.
Entrance and facade signs carry the hotel name and brand on the building, building-mounted or projecting, sized and lit to read from the approach. The pylon or monolith — the freestanding sign at the gate or roadside — is the property's landmark, built as an engineered structure in stainless steel, aluminium and acrylic, illuminated to stand out after dark, and foundation-fixed to stand up to wind and weather. Smaller exterior signs handle parking, entrances, directions and regulatory notices around the grounds. All of it is made weatherproof, with durable finishes and quality illumination, and designed in the same brand language as the signage inside — so the monolith at the gate and the number on the bedroom door are recognisably part of one property. For a hotel, the exterior signage is the brand's handshake; it is worth making it a confident one.
What gives a signage suite its character — and what ties it to the interior — is the material and the way the lettering is made. We manufacture across the full range, so the signage is specified to the scheme rather than forced into one look, and made by the method that suits each sign.
Signs are made in brass, bronze and stainless steel for a solid, premium feel, brushed, polished or patinated to match the ironmongery and the interior metalwork; in acrylic and glass for a clean, contemporary or layered look; and in timber and veneer where the scheme is warm and natural. The lettering and graphics are produced by the right method for the material and the finish: engraved and etched for a crisp, durable mark in metal; cast or fabricated letters for depth and presence; printed for full-colour and photographic graphics; and tactile and braille elements applied where accessibility requires. Finishes are chosen to last in a hotel's traffic and cleaning regime, and fixings are specified to be secure, tamper-resistant and clean — concealed where the design wants an uninterrupted face. Across all of it, the material palette is held consistent so the whole suite, from the smallest sign to the largest, reads as one designed family.
The single biggest advantage of making the whole signage suite with one manufacturer — and the one that matters most to a designer or an operator — is consistency. When room signs, wayfinding, public-area signage and the exterior all come from the same maker, to the same design, they belong together, and the hotel reads as one coherent place rather than a collection of suppliers' defaults.
We work to a hotel's brand guidelines and to the interior design, matching the typeface, the colours, the materials and the detail so the signage is an extension of the identity rather than a generic overlay. For a branded or chain property, we manufacture to the brand's signage standards and keep them identical across the estate; for an independent or boutique hotel, we develop a bespoke sign family with the designer. Because we also make the furniture and fit-out, the signage can be coordinated with the wider FF&E — the same metals, the same timbers, the same finishes — so the signs are part of the scheme, not an addition to it. The result is the quiet coherence that separates a properly designed hotel from one that was assembled, and signage is one of the places that coherence is most visible.
A complete hotel uses every type, all made to one design. We specify the right suite for the property and manufacture it as a coordinated package, so the whole hotel is signed by one hand.
The same coordinated approach scales across the full range of hospitality properties, specified to each brand and building.
Clear, brand-consistent signage that moves high volumes of guests efficiently from a busy lobby to their rooms and meetings.
Wayfinding and exterior signage that orients guests across a large, spread-out site, indoors and out, day and night.
Bespoke sign families developed with the designer, where the signage is part of the property's personality.
Signage manufactured to brand standards and kept identical across every property in the estate.
Apartment and amenity signage for longer-stay properties, coordinated with the room and facility fit-out.
A coordinated signage refresh that re-signs a property to a new identity without a clash of old and new.
Signage is bought once and lived with for years, so how it ages and how easily it is maintained matter as much as how it looks on opening day. A hotel's signs take constant handling, cleaning and the occasional knock, and a suite that fades, lifts or yellows turns a deliberate design into a tired one. We specify materials, finishes and fixings to survive a commercial life — solid metals and quality acrylics over printed films that peel, durable finishes that hold colour under daily cleaning, and secure, tamper-resistant fixings that keep signs where they belong.
Maintenance is simpler when every sign comes from one manufacturer to one set of drawings. When a room sign is damaged or a facility is renamed, the replacement is an exact match made from the same files, not an approximate substitute that stands out from its neighbours; when a hotel refreshes or rebrands, the existing sign schedule is the starting point for the new one. For a brand managing an estate, that single, documented standard turns signage from a recurring headache into a predictable, manageable part of the property — ordered, replaced and rolled out from one place, looking the same in every hotel and staying that way. Good signage should be invisible in use and effortless to keep that way, and that is designed in from the start.
A signage package is a schedule, not a single product, so the process starts there. We work from the brand guidelines, the interior design, the floor plans and the sign schedule — or develop the schedule as part of our design and consultancy — and engineer every sign type to suit, returning a specification and a costed package across the whole suite. Nothing is made until the design and a sample are approved, so the property sees exactly what it is getting before manufacture.
Production generally falls within a four to eight week window depending on the size of the package and the finishes. Signage ships worldwide on an FOB or CIF basis, packaged and labelled by location and sign type for an orderly install, with fixing details and a setting-out drawing so the local installer places every sign correctly; the pylons and exterior structures ship with their fixing and foundation details. A two-year warranty covers the signage, and direct factory pricing is provided on enquiry. Because the whole suite is made by one manufacturer in Istanbul, a hotel deals with a single point of responsibility for every sign in the property — and for a brand rolling out across several properties, one signage standard keeps every hotel on-brand and the replacements interchangeable.
