Overview
We are a furniture manufacturer, and metal works is the discipline that makes a great deal of our furniture possible. Most of it is never seen — the steel, stainless and aluminium structure that gives a piece its strength and keeps it square and safe under years of contract use. The rest is very much seen: the exposed metalwork that has become a signature of modern furniture design. Either way, the metal is engineered, cut, welded and finished in-house, and it is the difference between furniture that merely looks the part and furniture that holds up to a working building.
Metal works has always mattered in furniture production, and current design trends are making it more important by the year. As a maker, we reach for custom metal works for two reasons. The first is structure: a metal frame carries load, resists racking and lets a piece stay slim without flexing. The second is design: where a brief calls for a floating edge, a suspended element or a cantilever that timber alone cannot hold, metal is what makes it stand up. Every part is drawn and engineered in SolidWorks before it is cut, so the structure is proven to the load and the look before a single profile is welded.
This is the fabrication behind the range rather than a product line of its own — the metal that gives our reception desks, bar and buffet counters, wardrobes, bed bases and tables their structure and their detail. It is made to project in Istanbul, in steel, stainless, aluminium or iron, and shipped worldwide as part of the furniture it belongs to or as standalone metalwork to a specifier’s drawings.

The Role of Metal
Strip a well-made contract piece back and you usually find metal doing the work. A steel or aluminium frame lets a desk span without sagging, holds a worktop dead flat under load, and keeps a tall unit rigid where board construction alone would rack and loosen at the joints over time. In high-use furniture that is the whole point: the metal carries the abuse so the visible material does not have to, which is why a metal-framed piece survives a building where an all-board one fails.
The second driver is design. A floating edge, a suspended nightstand, a worktop that cantilevers past its support, an open shelving system that appears to defy gravity — none of these stand up on timber alone, and all of them are routine once a hidden metal structure is engineered behind them. As open, light, gravity-defying furniture has moved from the showroom into mainstream hotel and residential schemes, metal works has moved with it from a quiet structural aid to the thing that makes the look possible. We engineer that structure in SolidWorks to the real load case, so a floating element is not just convincing but genuinely safe for years of guest use.

High-Traffic Durability
In every kind of public-area furniture — reception, bar, buffet counters and the seating around them — a metal structure is essential. These are the hardest-used pieces in the building, leaned on, knocked and cleaned around all day, and the steel or stainless frame is what buys them years of service in a high-traffic area. The visible material is chosen for the look; the metal underneath is chosen so the piece is still tight and safe long after a board-only version would have failed.

Two Approaches
Metal works does its job two ways, and a good scheme uses both. Hidden structure is the engineering nobody sees: the wall brackets that let a suspended nightstand float clear of the floor, the concealed frame inside a floating bed base, the reinforcement behind a cantilevered worktop. Here the metal is essential and invisible — for suspended nightstands it is not optional, and for floating bed bases we recommend it wherever the budget allows, because it is what makes the floating look safe rather than merely convincing.
Exposed design is the opposite: metal put deliberately on show because the trend now celebrates it. Open wardrobes built around a visible steel structure, desks and consoles on slim metal legs, slatted metal screens and shelving frames — the metalwork is the aesthetic, so every cut is clean, every weld is ground flush and the finish is chosen to be admired. The same workshop makes both; what changes is whether the metal is engineered to disappear or to be the feature.
Fabrication
Good metal works is a sequence of processes done well, from the raw profile to the finished, ready-to-finish part. We work across the full range of box profiles and tube in different sizes and wall thicknesses, flat bar, slats and sheet, selecting the section to the load and the look. The cutting, forming, joining and dressing that turn those profiles into a furniture frame are where metal fabrication is made or lost.

CNC and laser cutting for accurate, repeatable parts, with bending and rolling for curves and returns. Accuracy here is what lets a hundred identical frames go together the same way on site.
MIG and TIG welding to suit the metal and the finish, with joints ground flush where the metal will be seen, so an exposed frame reads as one clean piece rather than a set of welded parts.
Grinding, linishing and polishing to dress every weld and edge and to bring the surface to the right state for its finish — from a matt brushed grain to a mirror polish — the unglamorous step that decides how the finished metal looks.
A Current Trend
One of the strongest looks in furniture right now is the slim aluminium-framed door with a glass insert. A thin aluminium profile frames clear, tinted, fluted, reeded or smoked glass for a light, contemporary front that a solid timber door cannot match — ideal wherever the contents are meant to be seen and the frame is meant to disappear. We fabricate these doors as part of our metal works and fit them into kitchen cabinetry, vitrines and display cabinets, and consoles and sideboards, finished to match the scheme.
Because the frame is aluminium, it stays slim and true, resists humidity, and takes an anodised or electrostatic-painted finish in any colour. The glass and the profile are specified together to the look the project wants, and the doors are built to the same engineered standard as the rest of the casework — for kitchens, coordinated with the cabinetry on our kitchen cabinet page.
Finishes
The finish is what the guest actually sees and touches, and it decides both the look and the life of the metal. We finish in-house and to project, from the contract workhorse of electrostatic painting to feature finishes for exposed metalwork, in any sheen from dead matt to full gloss.
Sheen is specified alongside colour — a matt finish that hides marks and reads architectural, a satin mid-sheen, or a gloss that lifts a feature piece. Every finish is matched to a sample and signed off before production so the metal that arrives is the metal that was approved.
