The project, in the words of the partner who led it

“Southgate is a contemporary boutique in North London, and the look they wanted was confident and a little playful — warm oak, charcoal, and that mustard-yellow signature. We manufactured the full guest-room programme: the upholstered beds with the black rail-and-globe headboard detail, the oak-and-charcoal desk units, the wardrobes, and both the mustard desk chairs and the lounge tub chairs you see in the rooms. We also produced the bathroom vanities and joinery for those green-tiled bathrooms. Meeting UK contract and fire-retardancy requirements while holding a crisp, design-led aesthetic was the brief, and the rooms came together tightly. The mustard accent against the green bathrooms is a small, brave choice that I think makes the hotel memorable.”
