The project, in the words of the partner who led it

“Nehô runs serviced studios, and the Maurienne property sits right by the station in the Savoie Alps. The brief was efficient studios that still feel designed. We manufactured the signature fluted upholstered headboards set into their metal-look panels, the beds and bases, the desks, and the compact kitchenettes — the wood cabinetry, the integrated dining and the round café tables with their black chairs. The lobby bar was a highlight: copper-glass pendants over a brown-marble counter, with our bouclé barstools along it. Working to French contract and fire standards, and fitting full kitchens into a tight studio footprint, was the real engineering. I think the warm walnut tones with the burnt-orange accents give the whole place a calm, alpine character.”
