Overview
A conference table is the one piece of furniture a meeting room is designed around. It sets how many people the room seats, where the screen goes, and whether a laptop can be plugged in without a cable running across the floor. Specify it well and the room works for a board meeting, a training session and a video call without anyone moving the furniture; specify it badly and the room fights every meeting held in it.
As a B2B manufacturer, HFC builds conference tables for the way commercial rooms are actually used. The mobile range runs from a small four-person meeting table to a linked 24-seat boardroom table in two systems — a classic folding-leg stack table and a smart flip-top nesting table — both foldable, on wheels or trolley, with integrated power, dataport and cable management; fixed conference tables are available for permanent rooms. Because the tables are made to order in the Istanbul factory rather than bought off a pallet, the size, shape, finish and connectivity are specified to the room — which is what a contract project needs and a retail conference table cannot offer.
This page covers the two mobile systems, the shapes and configurations, how the power and dataport work, the construction underneath, and an interactive sizing tool that turns a headcount into a recommended conference table size. If you are furnishing the seats as well, the matching conference chairs and the wider banquet furniture range ship from the same factory in a coordinated finish.

Two mobile systems
HFC’s mobile and portable conference tables come in two engineered systems. Both share an 18mm MDF-laminate top, steel frame and 70-micron electrostatic powder-coat finish — what differs is how they fold, store, travel and link. Choose the system that matches your floor plan and crew.
Category 01 · Folding-leg
The dependable banquet-and-conference workhorse and the most economical folding conference table. Folding legs collapse flat, tables stack on top of one another, and the whole stack rolls into storage on a single trolley — with or without a modesty panel.
◆ Folding-leg mechanism with a steel ball-bearing lock for fast, secure set-up
◆ Stacks flat on top of each other and moves to storage on a dedicated trolley
◆ Protective C-frame underneath shields the leg mechanism while stacked
◆ T-type impact-proof rubber edge and under-frame bumpers protect tops and floors
◆ Optional quarter-round tops build closed boardroom and oval conference table layouts

Storage
Stacked flat, moved on trolley
Board-meeting ready. Pair rectangular tops with quarter-round pieces to close off a continuous boardroom or oval conference table.
Category 02 · Smart nesting
A tech-ready, smart conference table built for speed. The flip top folds, tables nest into one another, and because every table rides on its own wheels, a single person moves and stores the whole set. Built-in power outlets link table to table from one source.
◆ Flip-top design — tables nest into each other for high-density storage
◆ Four swivel casters with brakes; one person transports and arranges the room
◆ Built-in socket box with power outlets and USB, configurable to outlet count
◆ Interconnected power — multiple tables draw from a single source point
◆ Integrated cable management keeps cords hidden and tidy

Storage
Flip & nest — no trolley
Board-meeting ready. Link tables into boardroom, U-shape or classroom training-room layouts — powered and cable-managed end to end.
Both are mobile, portable conference tables in the truest sense — a foldable, collapsible folding conference table on a trolley, or a flip-top nesting conference table on wheels with built-in power outlets — not a fixed boardroom table bolted to one room. They suit hotels, event companies and training rooms that reset a space between a conference, a meeting and a banquet layout, and both carry a two-year structural warranty. If you need a permanent installation instead, see our fixed conference tables.
Decision guide
Same build quality, two different logics for moving and storing a room. Here is how the two mobile conference table systems line up.
Shapes & configurations
Shape follows the room and the meeting. A boardroom wants presence; a training room wants flexibility; a small huddle room wants nothing in the way. These are the configurations the conference table range covers.
Rectangular
The classic boardroom table. Maximum capacity along two sides, with seats at the ends. The default rectangle conference table for formal meetings.
Boat-shaped
A wider middle narrows the ends, so everyone sees the screen and each other. The sightline choice for video conferencing and presentations.
Round
Equal footing for small meetings — a round conference table or round meeting table seats four to eight with no head of the table.
Modular
Smaller tables that link into one boardroom surface and split into clusters for training and breakout sessions. The flexible meeting table system.
Configuration is where a modular conference table earns its place. The same trapezoid and rectangular sections that form a long boardroom run on Monday break into a U-shape for training on Tuesday and into café-style clusters for a workshop on Wednesday. Folding meeting tables on castors take this further, letting a multi-purpose room reset between a conference table layout and a banquet or theatre layout in minutes — the reason hotels and conference centres favour them over a fixed boardroom table they cannot move.
Connectivity
The single feature that separates a modern conference table from an ordinary table is power and data at the seat. A conference table with dataport carries power sockets, USB charging and network or HDMI connections built into the top, fed by cable management hidden in the leg and a cable tray beneath the surface. Guests plug in where they sit, the room stays free of trailing leads, and the AV connects without an extension reel snaking across the floor.
The dataport itself comes in a few forms. A flip-up box sits flush until it is lifted, keeping the surface clean for a formal boardroom; a pop-up tower rises from the centre for heavier connectivity; a simple grommet passes cables through to a tray below for a budget meeting table. Modules are specified per project — international socket types, USB-A and USB-C, network and video — so the conference table matches the building’s standards rather than forcing a compromise.
Cable management is the unglamorous half that makes the dataport work. A cable tray runs the length of the table, the legs are routed to take power and data down to the floor box, and access panels let facilities staff reach the wiring without dismantling the table. On a modular conference table the cabling links between sections, so a boardroom run powers every seat from a single floor feed. Specifying this at the manufacturing stage is far cheaper than retrofitting a dataport into a table that was never built for one.
Construction
A conference table is in daily use for years, so the construction is specified for durability and for the connectivity routed through it.
Top
18–25mm melamine board, laminate or veneer. Melamine-faced board and high-pressure laminate are the hard-wearing contract default; wood veneer gives a premium boardroom table finish. Tops are routed at the factory to take the dataport and cable tray.
Edge
ABS or post-formed edge. A tough, impact-resistant edge band protects the top through years of chairs and trolleys knocking against it — the first thing to fail on a cheaply built conference table.
Legs & frame
Panel legs, metal A-frame or column bases. Steel frames are finished in 70-micron electrostatic paint to match the room; panel legs hide the cabling; folding legs and castors are specified where the table needs to move.
Cable routing
Cable tray and routed legs. Power and data run from the dataport through a concealed tray and down a routed leg to the floor box, with access panels for maintenance — built in, not bolted on afterwards.
Levelling & linking
Adjustable feet and linking hardware. Levelling feet keep a long boardroom table flat on an uneven floor; linking brackets join modular sections into one rigid surface and release them for breakout layouts.
Sizes
Custom lengths from 4 to 24+ seats. Standard widths around 100–140cm, lengths built to the headcount, plus boat and round options. A manufacturer-direct order means the conference table is sized to the room rather than to a catalogue.
Conference table sizing
Conference table sizing comes down to one rule: allow about 75cm of table edge per person, and leave at least 90cm of clearance around the table for chairs and walking space. Enter how many people the table must seat, choose the shape, and the tool returns the recommended size, the minimum room it fits, and how many dataport modules to specify.
Your sizing is carried into the form below. Set how many tables you need across your rooms, and we’ll respond within 24 hours with wholesale pricing and lead time.

Who specifies them
Corporate offices are the largest buyers — a board room table for the main boardroom, smaller conference room tables and meeting room tables for huddle and project rooms, and dataport models wherever people bring laptops. Hotels and conference centres specify conference tables for their meeting rooms, conference rooms, training rooms and conference halls, almost always as folding, nesting or modular conference tables on wheels so a room earns its keep across conferences, training and events. Government, education, co-working operators and serviced offices round out the demand, all of it commercial and most of it bought as a project rather than a single table.
Buying from a manufacturer changes what is possible. A contract supplier can match the conference table to an existing office range, run a non-standard length to fit an awkward room, specify the exact dataport modules a building uses, and deliver the quantity a multi-room fit-out needs in one finish. HFC supplies this meeting room furniture and conference hall furniture worldwide from Istanbul, on FOB or CIF terms, with the same wholesale pricing structure as the rest of the banquet and contract range.
Specifying & ordering
Start with the headcount and the room, because together they fix the size and shape. Use the sizing tool above to turn the number of seats into a length, check it against the room with the minimum-clearance figure, then choose the shape: rectangular for a formal boardroom, boat-shaped for sightlines on video calls, round for small rooms, modular where the room must flex. A small conference room table for a huddle room and a long boardroom table are the same product family at different sizes.
Connectivity is the decision people forget until it is too late. Decide early whether the table needs a dataport, how many modules, and which socket and data types — retrofitting connectivity into a finished conference room table is expensive and rarely tidy. Then settle mobility: a fixed boardroom table for a permanent room, or folding and modular meeting tables where the space converts between layouts.
Finally, the commercial terms. As a Made-in-Turkey manufacturer and wholesale supplier, HFC builds conference tables to order, which suits contract and B2B buyers fitting out multiple rooms in one finish. Minimums are set for project quantities, lead time is typically four to eight weeks ex-factory Istanbul, and export is on FOB or CIF terms with full landed-cost estimates. Tell us the rooms, the headcounts and the connectivity, and we will spec the conference tables for the project.
