The hotel nightstand — also called a hotel bedside table, bedside cabinet, or bedroom bedside table — is the most-touched piece of furniture in any hotel room. Guests reach for it in the dark, place phones and glasses on it, and judge its quality at close range while lying in bed. Always confirm mattress height before specifying. Standard hotel bed: 200mm mattress on 350mm base = 550mm total. Specify nightstand height at 550–580mm so the surface is level with or slightly above the mattress top.

Bedside table types
The term bedside table — or bedroom bedside table — covers a wider range of furniture than the standard hotel nightstand. In hotel specification, three distinct configurations fall under this category: the standard bedside cabinet (drawer + door or shelf, on legs or plinth), the bedside chest (taller unit, 2–3 drawers, higher storage volume — popular in executive and suite rooms), and the bedside shelf (minimal floating shelf without storage, used in compact rooms or when the integrated headboard unit incorporates a shelf).
